Abstract
Religiosity can affect one's life and can determine someone's behavior. Religiosity is important for adolescents because it is a belief held by adolescents. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of religiosity and dating behavior of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University students at Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo. This study used a quantitative research design by correlation studies, the research design used is cross sectional, with a population of all students in the academic year 2018/2019 Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo totaling 1,498 respondents and a sample of 150 respondents obtained through the Purposive Random Sampling technique, data collection using questionnaires data processing is then performed through the stages of Editing, Coding, Scoring, Tabulating, data analysis using the Chi- Squere statistical test with IBM SPSS Statistics 16.0 software. Based on the result of study, it showed that of 150 respondents. A total of 109 respondents (72.7%) who had good religiosity were 55 respondents (36.7%) but had negative dating behavior and there were 54 respondents (36.0%) who had positive dating behavior. Then a number of 41 respondents (27.3%) who had poor religiosity were 24 respondents (16.0%) but had negative dating behavior and there were 17 respondents (11.3%) who had positive dating behavior. Statistical analysis showed no significant value p = 0.377 (p> 0.05) there was no relationship of religiosity and the dating behavior students of Muhammadiyah University in Ponorogo. Based on this study, it can be concluded that if one's religiosity cannot change dating behavior for the better, there are several influencing factors such as age, sex, exposure to pornographic media, peer influence, level of sexual knowledge, parental communication and self control.
