Abstract

The implementation of preventing the transmission of Covid-19 must be carried out by all levels of society, especially students in order to spread Covid-19. Students are good role models for the community based on knowledge and behavior to prevent transmission of Covid-19. However, students' awareness regarding Covid-19 and lack of knowledge have caused students to be undisciplined in preventing Covid-19 transmission behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship with the behavior of preventing the transmission of Covid-19 in FISIP students at the Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. This study uses a quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study was 117 students of FISIP Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo and the number of samples was 100 respondents with the sampling using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire (google form). Analysis using fisher's exact test statistical test. The results showed that of the 100 largest respondents who had good knowledge, 89 respondents (89%) and 11 respondents (11%) had poor knowledge, while the behavior of preventing Covid-19 transmission there were 74 respondents (74%) having positive behavior and 26 respondents (26%) have negative behavior. Based on the fisher's exact test statistical analysis test, it was obtained a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that there is a relationship between knowledge and behavior to prevent Covid-19 transmission in FISIP students at the Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Knowledge has an important role in preventing the transmission of COVID-19. It is hoped that the good knowledge already possessed by FISIP students can be maintained so that the prevention of Covid-19 transmission can be formed positively in order to break the Covid-19 chain.
