Abstract
ABSTRACT NURSING CARE IN LOW BIRTH WEIGHT BABIES WITH NURSING PROBLEMS IN EFFECTIVE RISK OF THERMOREGULATION (Case study at RSUD Dr. Hardjono Ponorogo 2022) By : Silvie Rahma Mariska NIM : 19613312 Low birth weight is a baby born weighing less than 2500 grams. The mortality rate of LBW due to the inability to maintain body temperature in the normal range and resulting in complications of asphyxia, hypothermia, hyperbilirubinia is still high. The purpose of this case study is to determine nursing care in low birth weight infants with nursing problems at risk of ineffective thermoregulation. Nursing care for low birth weight babies with ineffective thermoregulation risk nursing problems was carried out at Dr. Hospital. Hardjono Ponorogo in the Lotus Room with patient By. Mrs. K from May 26 to May 30, 2022. This case study uses a problem solving method with a nursing process approach. The results of the study showed that the general condition of the patient was weak, birth weight was 1,100 grams with a gestational age of 31 weeks, the skin looked transparent, subcutaneous fat was thin, acral cold and the baby was in the incubator. Based on the analysis of the data, the interventions used were infant care and educational support interventions for the care of low birth weight babies at home. Parents are expected to be able to understand the causes and ways to treat low birth weight babies at home by covering the baby with a blanket, placing the baby in a warm room, drying the baby thoroughly, and encouraging mothers to breastfeed while hugging their baby.
