Abstract

Keywords: Parenting Parenting, Learning Discipline, Learning Outcomes In the education process of a child there must be full support from parents. This includes parenting styles for children. Parents are expected to be able to provide support, motivation, and attention to children. Not only at school, at home of course the attention of parents is needed to support the learning process at school. In the goal of achieving good and maximum learning outcomes, of course, it must be supported by discipline in learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of parenting and learning discipline on student learning outcomes of MI MIS PSM Sidorejo Ponorogo. The research method used in this research is quantitative. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The subjects in this study were students of MIS PSM Sidorejo with a total sample of 35 students from a total population of 108 students. The analysis used is multiple linear regression using the SPSS version 25 application. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between parenting patterns on student learning outcomes as much as 28.2%, while the influence of learning discipline on learning outcomes is 57%. The influence between parenting and learning discipline on learning outcomes is 57.3%. The results of hypothesis testing (t test) in this study indicate that the significance value of the parenting style variable (X1) is 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. And the t value is 3.602 > 1.693. This shows that the parenting style variable has a significant effect on the learning outcome variable (Y). Thus from the results of the hypothesis that Ho is rejected, while Ha is accepted. This means that parenting from the guardians of MI PSM Sidorejo students shows a good influence on learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the results of hypothesis testing (t test) on the learning discipline variable (X2) are 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. While the t value is 6.655 > 1.693. This shows that the learning discipline variable has a significant effect on the learning outcome variable (Y). While the R-Square test shows that the value of the coefficient of determination (R-Square) on the parenting style variable is 0.573. This shows that the independent/independent variable simultaneously has an effect of 57% on learning outcomes (dependent/bound variable).
