Abstract
RAFO ALFIAN YUNARYA : Development of Podcast as a Media for Mathematics Learning. Thesis. Ponorogo: Mathematics Education Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, 2023. This study aims to assess the feasibility of podcast as a media for mathematics learning, by testing the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in conveying statistics subject. The podcast product as a learning media was tested on students of Class X in SMAN 2 Ponorogo. The hope of developing this product is the ability to provide an option to learn mathematics for students. The research method used in this research is by Research and Development (R&D). The media development process in this study uses ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) as a development model. Validation of the product feasibility level was carried out through an assessment process from subject experts and media experts, then assessment through student response questionnaires and teacher response questionnaires. Trials of learning media products were carried out on 32 students of Class X in SMAN 2 Ponorogo. In this study, descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques taken from data validation test results, practicality, and product effectiveness was used. The results of this study indicate that podcasts as a media for learning mathematics are valid, practical, and effective products. The results obtained from the subject expert validation process are 75% included in the "valid" criteria, and the results obtained from the media expert validation process are 96% "very valid" criteria. The practicality data questionnaire assessed by the students resulted in a percentage of 89% or included in the "very practical" criteria and the results of the practical data questionnaire assessed by the teaching staff produced a percentage of 93% also in the "very practical" category. Then for the results of the effectiveness level data which is measured through the recapitulation of the work on the evaluation questions it produces a percentage of 91% or can be categorized as an “very effective” product.
