There are still many cases of Covid-19 where attitudes and behaviors are needed to carry out health protocols from various levels of society, including students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between attitudes and compliance behavior in implementing the Covid-19 health protocol at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo.
Quantitative research method with correlational design and cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo as many as 546 people. The number of samples as many as 109 students sampling using simple random sampling technique. Data collection uses an attitude questionnaire and a compliance behavior questionnaire to implement the Covid-19 protocol through the google form. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test with a significance value <0.05.
The results of this study indicate that of the 109 respondents, most of the 57 respondents (52.3%) had a negative attitude and almost half of the 52 respondents (47.7%) had a positive attitude. While compliance behavior in implementing the Covid-19 health protocol, most of the 56 respondents (51.4%) had obedient behavior and almost half of the 53 respondents (48.6%) had disobedient behavior. Hypothesis testing using Chi-Square with p-value = 0.007 (α = 0.05) and CC value = 0.259.
It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between attitude and compliance behavior in implementing the Covid-19 health protocol at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo. Respondents are expected to maintain and implement the Covid-19 health protocol while at school and outside the school environment to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
