This study aims to: 1) To find out the education system at Pondok Modern Badii’usy Syamsi in strengthening character education. 2) To find out the encouragement of character education at Pondok Modern Badii’usy Syamsi.
This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study method that aims to understand the phenomenon of strengthening character education in the learning system at Pondok Modern Badii’usy Syamsi. As for this research, in collecting data using interview procedures, observation and documentation.
The results of the research are: 1) The education system at the Badii’usy Syamsi Islamic Boarding School in strengthening character education, namely: a) Integrating the Education and Religion curriculum with the Islamic boarding school curriculum, b) Implementing a pesantren system with 24-hour supervision, c) coaching with discipline enforcement , d) Familiarizing students to take part in activities at the cottage, e) providing an example, 2) Implementation of strengthening character education at the Badii’usy Syamsi Modern Islamic Boarding School, namely through, a) Understanding, b) Habituation, and c) Exemplary. The reinforced values are: religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity. In addition to using these three approaches, the modern Islamic boarding school Badi'usy Syamsi also has extracurricular activities as a supporting tool in learning so that improving the educational character of students can be achieved properly.
