Abstract
Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an
abnormal increase in blood pressure in systole and diastole. There are many ways to lower blood pressure, one of which is boiled water from soursop leaves. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of boiled water on soursop leaves on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension at Posyandu Mawar, Sambirobyong Village, Sidorejo District, Magetan Regency.This study uses a research design of one group pre-test post-testpre�experimental design. The population in this study were 30 people with hypertension at the Mawar Posyandu, Sambirobyong Village, Sidorejo District, Magetan Regency. with purposive sampling technique, and the results obtained as many as 16 respondents. This research was carried out
for 2 weeks with 6 times giving soursop leaf boiled water. Analysis of the data used is the Wilcoxon signed Ranks Test. The instruments in this study
used standard operating procedures (SOPs), observation sheets for measuring blood pressure, sphygmomanometer, and stethoscope.The results of this study indicate that giving soursop leaf boiled
water has an effect on the value of systole blood pressure with a P-Value value = 0.000 and a P-Valie diastolic blood pressure value = 0.001 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of soursop leaf boiled water on decreasing blood pressure in elderly patients. hypertension.
The results of this study indicate that the boiled water of soursop
leaves can reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Because
the content of antioxidants, potassium ions, which can lower blood
pressure in soursop leaves.
