The risk of impaired skin integrity in pediatric patients with diarrhea that is not immediately prevented with proper treatment will result in the development of pressure sores, as a result, will prolong the length of treatment and the costs incurred will increase. To prevent damage to the integrity of the skin, it is necessary for the family to play an active role in maintaining skin integrity and preventing infection. The purpose of taking this case study is to determine the risk of nursing care for impaired skin integrity.
Nursing care for pediatric patients with diarrhea with nursing problems at the risk of impaired skin integrity in the Delima room, RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo on 06-08 June 2022 for 3 days. The research method used is the nursing process approach. The results of the study found that An. S experienced redness in the perianal area, perianal skin moist, decreased elasticity. From this analysis, intervention for skin integrity care and infection prevention education was carried out.
The evaluation results obtained from An. Complaints of reduced redness, improved humidity, improved elasticity, improved skin temperature, the patient's family understood the education given by the nurse. With this, the patient and family are able to prevent skin integrity disorders from occurring.
