The cultural art of the jaranan thek Turonggo Seto Crabak Association (TSC) is a jaranan community located in Crabak Village, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency. This association was founded in 2016 until now. The members of this community are Crabak villagers themselves. Jaran thek is a term commonly known by Ponorogo residents. In fact, this art has a standard name, namely jaranan. This Jaranan art performance in Ponorogo is the story of King Klono Sewandono's journey to Kediri to propose to Dewi Songgo Langit. The jaranan of the Turonggo Seto Association has a connection with Islamic religious education which is contained in the meaning of the rhythmic accompaniment of ning nong ning glung musical instruments. This rhythm has a meaning related to human life.
The purpose of this research is to know (a) to describe and understand the flow of the Jaranan Thek Turonggo Seto art performance in Crabak Village, Slahung Ponorogo. (b) To describe and understand the meaning of the instruments in the art of Jaranan Thek Turonggo Seto, Crabak Village, Slahung Ponorogo. (c) To describe and understand what Islamic values are contained in the art of Jaranan Thek Turonggo Seto, Crabak Village, Slahung Ponorogo.
This research method uses a type of qualitative research with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. In the data analysis that the researcher did was an appropriate analysis using several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, data analysis.
The results of research on the Value of Islamic Education in the Art of Jaranan Thek Turonggo Seto, Crabak Village, Slahung Ponorogo are (a) The flow of the performance begins with praying to Allah using tools including roasted buceng, kambil gundil gedang setangkep, incense, incense, and parem. After the prayer is over, it is continued with a complete dance performance starting from the horse's head, kepang, wild boar, and barongan to the gambuh scene and the war failure. (b) The meaning of the ning nung ning glung accompaniment musical instrument as a symbol of a lesson about life about behaving when facing the creator and being kind to fellow human beings. When ning and nung can be passed or mastered, the glung rhythm is the closing rhythm which means husnul khotimah. (c) There are five types of Islamic educational values in the art of jaranan thek turonggo seto, crabak slahung village, namely: 1). The value of monotheism, 2). The value of dhikr, 3). Muhasabah value, 4). The value of life lessons, 5). Value self-confidence.
