THE RELATIONSHIP OF BULLYING BEHAVIOR AND SOCIAL
INTERACTION ABILITY IN ADOLESCENTS AT SMP N 2 BARAT

Bullying behavior is a form of violence, this phenomenon still often occurs in society, especially among teenagers. One of the impacts of bullying is disruption of social interactions, victims often remain alone and are even reluctant to interact with their surrounding environment. This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between bullying behavior and social interaction skills in teenagers at SMP N 2 Barat.

This research involved 95 grade 7 students at SMP N 2 Barat. The data collection method used is a questionnaire which aims to determine the characteristics and provide information about the population and sample studied. The sampling technique used is Probability Sampling with a Proportional Random Sampling approach and the data analysis used is the Chi-Square Test

The results of this research show that there is a relationship between bullying behavior and social interaction abilities among teenagers at SMPN 2 Barat. With the data found, 50.5% of respondents experienced high criteria bullying and 56.8% of respondents experienced minimal social interaction disturbances. Until now there has been no action taken at SMP N 2 Barat to overcome cases of bullying, there are suggestions to start a program or outreach to students to minimize bullying which has an impact on disrupting the social interactions of young students at SMP N 2 Barat.
