Abstract

The Influence of Instagram Social Media on the Civic Disposition of Middle School Students in Ponorogo Regency. Thesis. Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Supervisor 1 Dr. Sutrisno, S.Pd., M.Pd. Supervisor 2 Ambiro Puji Asmaroini, M.Pd.

This research aims to: (1) determine the influence of Instagram social media on the Civic Disposition of secondary school students in Ponorogo district, (2) determine the efforts made by schools to increase the implementation of Civic Disposition of secondary school students in Ponorogo district. This research is a mixed method research with a population covering all students in class Data collection techniques in this research are observation, questionnaires, documentation, interviews. The results of this research are 1) Instagram social media has a significant influence on Civic Disposition, especially in the negotiating aspect because negotiating is a form of resolving problems that occur because there is an agreement that must be resolved properly with the individual concerned. The implications of this research are the existence of a digital literacy program (Digital-age Literacy), strengthening the Civics content of the Effective Moral Reasoning Model and conducting socialization on social media procedures for using social media. 2) Efforts made by schools to implement a Civic Disposition are by providing education on values and ethics, emphasizing the curriculum to further incline judgments about morals, respect, politeness and tolerance, in addition to implementing character education for students.
