OBJECTIVITY ANALYSIS OF ONLINE MEDIA INSTAGRAM @radarsolo AHEAD OF THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION NOVEMBER 2023 – FEBRUARY 2024 EDITION
This research analyzes the role of the online media Instagram @radarsolo, with a focus on reporting ahead of the 2024 presidential election, November 2023 - February 2024 edition. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this research is able to understand in depth how the media plays a role in disseminating information ahead of the presidential election. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and documentation studies. This research uses Dennis MCQuail's media balance and accuracy theory which consists of factuality (truth, relevance, informativeness) and impartiality (balance and neutrality). The research results show that the content presented is accurate, citing credible references and referring to original sources, commitment to fact checking. Radar Solo is a media that is relevant by selecting important news and having a real impact on society regarding the 2024 presidential election. Responsible for presenting informative news with adequate context. The news Radar Solo publishes remains fair. @radarsolo Instagram post about the news of the 2024 presidential election tries to remain neutral. By providing space for diverse viewpoints and opinions, Radar Solo can help the public to make more informed and rational decisions when choosing potential leaders and understanding complex political issues. The role of online media Radar Solo in presenting accurate, relevant and balanced political information is very important in the democratic process and public participation.
