Islam is the majority religion in Indonesia, signifying harmony and peace. The spread of Islam in Indonesia should be carried out moderately to avoid misunderstandings and extremism. One model for delivering Islamic teachings based on religious moderation is through video content such as Podcasts on YouTube. This study discusses religious moderation in the Podcast "Login di Close The Door" on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel, featuring Habib Husein Jafar as the main speaker, Onad as the host, and other guest stars. The purpose of this study is to analyze the model of delivering Islamic teachings based on moderation in the Podcast. Additionally, the study will explore the content of the Podcast to understand its concepts and models of moderation.
This study uses a content analysis research method with a qualitative approach to analyze the model of delivering Islamic teachings based on religious moderation in the Podcast "Login di Close The Door" available on YouTube. The primary data used are videos from 30 episodes of the Podcast during Ramadan 1445 H, supported by secondary data in the form of books, journals, and other relevant sources. Data collection techniques include observation and documentation, with detailed analysis of the podcast episodes' content. Data analysis is conducted through the identification of message characteristics objectively and systematically using content analysis techniques. Data validity is tested through re-examination with references from trusted sources to ensure the accuracy and validity of the findings.
This study discusses the concept of Islamic teachings based on religious moderation presented in the Podcast "Login di Close The Door." The study reveals: (1) the podcast promotes moderation through several key aspects, such as recognizing religious identity without shame, openness to learning from other religions, and delivering da'wah in a gentle and inclusive manner. These values of moderation also emphasize the importance of tolerance, gender equality, and embracing goodness from any source as long as it does not contradict Islamic law; (2) the model of delivering Islamic teachings in this podcast utilizes an inclusive dialogical approach and casual language, making it accessible and acceptable to various groups, including the younger generation, by inviting religious figures from diverse backgrounds. The podcast not only conveys Islamic teachings but also fosters harmony and tolerance among religious communities, in line with the principles of religious moderation that prioritize peace, equality, and justice.
