Abstract
Prostitution is an extremely complex subject since it affects many facets of
social life. A result of information technology advancements, traditional
prostitution has given way to online-based prostitution operations (Michat).
Research on the subject of online prostitution regulation via application use
(Michat) as well as the behavior and personal responsibility of online prostitute
actors is vital. In compliance with the applicable criminal law, this study seeks to
ascertain and evaluate how users (Michat) are subjected to illegal activities as a
method of online prostitution. to understand and examine the elements that lead
an individual to engage in online prostitution via the application (Michat). to
investigate and evaluate the elements that lead an individual to engage in online
prostitution via the application (Michat). to research and evaluate successful
initiatives aimed at changing criminal law regulations to lower the number of
people engaging in internet prostitution.
This study falls under the category of legal normative research. The
Criminal Code's Articles 296 and 506; Article 27 in combination with the
remainder of Article 45 in the Civil Code; the Law on ITE; and the Law on The
practice of porn served as the sources of data for this study.
According to the study's findings, those who engage in internet prostitution
may be subject to punishment under applicable criminal laws, which include
Articles 296 and 506 of the Code of Criminal Procedure as well as Article 27 in
combination with Article 45. The 11th law of 2008 in combination with Article 4
of the Regulations on Pornography and Chapter 30 of the Law on ITE.
