The Relationship between Diet Compliance and Acceptance of Chronic Kidney Failure with the Quality of Life of Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis

Introduction Chronic kidney failure is a medical problem throughout the world caused by an increasing number of deaths. So that patients with chronic kidney failure who undergo Hemodialysis have difficulty complying with the diet. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between diet compliance and acceptance of chronic kidney failure disease with quality of life in the Hemodialysis room at RSU Aisyiyah Ponorogo.
The method in this research uses analysis using logistic regression, the population of this study is patients in the hemodialysis room using a total sample of 48 people, data collection is carried out by distributing the AIS (Acceptance of IIIness) WHOQOL (Word Heald Organization Quality of Life Brief) questionnaire, analysis data using logistic regression analysis with significance <0.05
The results showed that (45.8%) were non-compliant with treatment and had a poor quality of life. (39.6%) were adherent to treatment and had a good quality of life, while (50.0%) accepted the disease, based on logistic regression analysis with significance < 0.05, it was concluded that there was a relationship between diet compliance and disease acceptance with the quality of life of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSU Aisiyah Ponorogo.
Discussion For chronic kidney failure patients who have a low quality of life, it is necessary to adhere to a high diet and be able to reduce negative emotions as a sign of acceptance of the disease in chronic kidney failure patients so that the patient is able to improve the patient's quality of life for the better.
