Raising goats through the sharing system is an economic activity that is quite prevalent among rural communities. This means that almost every village has residents engaging in this activity. It is common in society because raising goats through this sharing system can help meet the economic needs of the community.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the practice of goat sharing and the profit-sharing system in the Berkah Lestari Livestock Group in Dusun Sambi, Ponorogo Regency, and to examine this practice from the perspective of Fiqh Muamalah. The goat sharing practice in this group uses the Mudharabah Mutlaqah contract, where the capital owner (sahib al-mal) grants full freedom to the manager (mudharib) to manage the goats according to sharia principles. The profit-sharing system is mutually agreed upon, usually with a specific proportion such as 60% for the capital owner and 40% for the manager.
This research finds that the goat sharing practice aligns with principles of justice, transparency, and responsibility as taught in Fiqh Muamalah. The study employs qualitative research methods, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. Data analysis follows the framework proposed by Miles and Huberman, while data validity is ensured through credibility and triangulation.
The results indicate that this cooperation not only provides economic benefits for both parties but also reflects Islamic values in transactions. The main challenges faced include livestock diseases and difficulties in finding feed during the dry season, which require strategic solutions for business sustainability. This research contributes both theoretically and practically to the application of sharia economics in the livestock sector and serves as a reference for communities, farmers, and related institutions in developing sharia-compliant cooperative systems.
