Abstract
Keywords: Ijarah and Njanggak Goats
Humans as social beings need each other to survive, as they complement one another. This interdependence requires people to create good relationships to fulfill their essential needs. Muamalah activities such as buying and selling, leasing (ijarah), lending and borrowing, wage payment, and business partnerships become very important. One significant form of muamalah in Islam is ijarah, which allows individuals and companies to utilize assets or services without having to buy and own them directly. In business, ijarah becomes a crucial part because of its flexibility and efficiency, regulating the use of assets or services in a mutually beneficial manner without bearing the burden of full ownership. This supports economic sustainability and encourages innovation and growth in various sectors. Forms of muamalah such as leasing exist because they are based on mutual need, strengthening the sense of brotherly love and cooperation.
This research was conducted with the following objectives: First, to understand the Islamic legal analysis of the ijarah contract in the Njanggak goat tradition in Sambi hamlet, Ngrayun, Ponorogo. Second, to understand the Islamic legal analysis regarding the success and failure of breeding in the Njanggak goat tradition in Sambi hamlet, Ngrayun, Ponorogo.
The research object includes all components in Sambi hamlet, Ngrayun, Ponorogo. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data related to the practice of the ijarah contract in the Njanggak goat tradition in Sambi hamlet, Ngrayun, Ponorogo was analyzed qualitatively.
The results of this research are: First, the ijarah contract in the Njanggak goat tradition in Sambi hamlet, Ngrayun, Ponorogo must fulfill the requirements and pillars of ijarah according to Islamic law, such as clarity in the rental object, agreement between both parties, and the benefits obtained must be halal and useful. Second, the success or failure of breeding in the Njanggak goat tradition in Sambi hamlet, Ngrayun, Ponorogo is analyzed based on the principles of justice and honesty in muamalah. Success achieved in accordance with the agreed contract is valid and halal, while failure must be resolved in a fair and transparent manner, avoiding gharar (uncertainty), and prioritizing deliberation.
