Abstract
Sectio Ineffective breastfeeding is a condition in which the mother and baby experience dissatisfaction or difficulty breastfeeding (Nurarif and Kusuma, 2020). Nursing care for a post-cesarean section patient with ineffective breastfeeding was provided in the Melati Room of Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Regional Hospital for 3 days in May 2024. The purpose of this case study was to provide nursing care to a post-cesarean section patient with ineffective breastfeeding.
Nursing care for a post-cesarean section patient with ineffective breastfeeding was provided in the Melati Room of Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Regional Hospital for 3 days in May 2024. The nursing process was used as the method used.
The assessment revealed that Mrs. U had given birth after a cesarean section. Data indicated that Mrs. U was experiencing ineffective breastfeeding. The primary nursing intervention for Mrs. U was oxytocin massage, adjusted to the SIKI (Ineffective Breastfeeding Management System).
The evaluation results for Mrs. Ineffective breastfeeding was addressed through oxytocin massage, which resolved the problem as the patient's condition began to improve, with the following criteria: smooth milk flow and no abrasions. Patients are advised to maintain a healthy lifestyle and breastfeed frequently.
