Abstract

Selecting roof tiles that match both the house specifications and user preferences is often challenging, especially when faced with the wide variety of products available on the market. This research aims to design and develop a web-based decision support system (DSS) to assist in the roof tile selection process at the Sentral Industri Genteng Bedingin, Ponorogo. The algorithm applied is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which is capable of handling pairwise comparisons among criteria and sub-criteria, as well as calculating decision consistency. The system considers six main criteria: type of roof tile, price, batten distance, kluntung size, thickness, and ease of installation, with weights that can be directly adjusted by the users. The testing results using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method with 15 respondents achieved a score of 92.48%, indicating that the system is highly user-friendly and provides logical results aligned with user needs. The system has proven effective in delivering accurate and relevant recommendations for roof tile selection and holds strong potential for large-scale industrial implementation.
