Abstract
Learning Arabic at the elementary school level often faces challenges, particularly in mastering vocabulary and recognizing Hijaiyah letters. This study aims to develop an interactive web-based learning medium using a Memory Game integrated with the Fisher-Yates Shuffle Algorithm. The application is designed to assist students in memorizing Arabic–Indonesian vocabulary in an enjoyable and non-monotonous way. The research method applies the Waterfall approach, starting from needs analysis to system testing using the Blackbox Testing technique. Effectiveness testing was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests involving second-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Kebondalem. The results showed an increase in students’ scores after using the application, with a noticeable improvement in the average number of correct answers. In addition, the Fisher-Yates Shuffle Algorithm proved effective in generating consistently randomized arrangements of images in every trial. In conclusion, this learning medium is effective in enhancing students’ memory retention and interest in learning Arabic. This research can serve as a reference for developing game-based educational media for foreign language learning.
