THE IMPACT OF THE INCREASE IN THE FEE OF
GOVERNMENT REGULATION NUMBER 45 OF 2024 ON THE CLASS II NON-TPI
IMMIGRATION OFFICE IN PONOROGO

Abstract
Government Regulation Number 45 of 2024 concerning the increase in passport fees has impacted passport applicants at the Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office in Ponorogo. This study aims to analyze and identify the impact of the fee increase, both in terms of economic aspects and public services. The research method used a descriptive quantitative approach by analyzing secondary data from the Ponorogo Immigration Office during the period before and after the increase. The results found a decrease in the number of passport applicants. To address this impact, the Ponorogo Immigration Office is implementing service innovations such as providing friendly passport services on holidays, improving facilities and infrastructure for applicants, and improving human resources at the Ponorogo Immigration Office.
