The most common mental disorder is schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder that can affect an individual's feelings, thoughts, and behavior. One of the positive symptoms frequently experienced by individuals with schizophrenia is hallucinations. One type of hallucination is auditory hallucinations (hearing voices or sounds), and they are the most common type. This case study aims to provide nursing care for a schizophrenic patient with sensory perception disorders, including auditory hallucinations.
Nursing care was provided at Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Regional Hospital for five days, from June 3-7, 2025. The method used was the nursing process approach.
The assessment revealed that the client frequently heard voices without any form, telling her to leave the house when she was alone. Nursing interventions to address this problem included non-pharmacological occupational drawing therapy. After five days of occupational drawing therapy, the client's auditory hallucinations decreased.
Nursing care for schizophrenia patients with nursing problems of sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations is expected to be an illustration in order to know the application of nursing therapy occupational therapy drawing activities in schizophrenia patients with nursing problems of Sensory Perception Disorders: Auditory Hallucinations independently when complaints occur. Suggestions for further researchers can carry out occupational therapy drawing activities according to the specified time.
