Abstract
Wien Anisa Yahyani, Efforts of Student Care in Improving Life skills Through the Experiential Learning Method at the Minhajul Ngrayun Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo. Thesis. Master of Islamic Religious Education Postgraduate Program, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. 2025. Supervisors: (1) Dr. Ayok Ariyanto, M.Pd.I.; and (2) Dr. Sigit Dwi Laksana, M.Pd.I.
The objectives of this study are: (1) to know and describe the efforts of student care in improving student life skills at the Minhajul Muna Ngayun Islamic Boarding School; and (2) to know and describe student care activities to improve student life skills through the experiential learning method at the Minhajul Muna Islamic Boarding School; (3) find out and describe the impact of applying the experiential learning method in improving the life skills of students at the Minhajul Muna Islamic Boarding School.
This research is research that uses a descriptive qualitative approach by using methods of observation, interviews and documentation, because this research aims to focus on the core of the research by describing the research based on actual conditions. happens in the field. In this case, the researcher will describe how to educate students in improving the life skills of students through experiential learning methods based on data collected to understand the focus of this study.
This study found several findings that are important in answering the focus and objectives of the study, namely: (1) Efforts by fostering students to improve life skills are a) providing thematic training, b) holding regular workshops and c) choosing experiential learning methods to be applied to several activities at the boarding school.; (2) Activities formed by fostering students to improve life skills of students through experiential learning methods are a) assignments to become Imam and Khatib for male students, b) assignments to become imams of Yasinan and Tahlil in the surrounding community for female students and c) the existence of the Modern Boarding School Student Organization or OPPM movement.; (3) The impact of experiential learning methods in improving life skills a) improving the ability to communicate well, b) improving expertise in a particular field, c) improving the ability to adapt.
