Abstract

ABSTRACT
The increasing demand for energy encourages the utilization of alternative energy sources, one of which is used oil as stove fuel. This study aims to analyze the effect of air flow rate variation in the burner on efficiency, flame temperature distribution, and exhaust gas emissions of a used-oil-fueled stove. The experiments were conducted using blower speed variations of 2500 rpm, 2600 rpm, 2700 rpm, and 2800 rpm. The results show that the best performance was obtained at a blower speed of 2800 rpm with an efficiency of 55.52%, steam production of 6.772 kg/h, and fuel consumption of 0.819 kg/h. The highest flame temperature reached 1077°C and the lowest was 396°C with a more uniform flame distribution. The exhaust gas emissions consisted of CO at 1.72%, HC at 27.82 ppm, and CO₂ at 10.28%. The results indicate that increasing the air flow rate in the burner significantly affects combustion efficiency, flame stability, and exhaust gas emission characteristics.
