Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of financial self-efficacy in mediating the influence of financial attitudes and financial literacy on financial management among Generation Z. This study uses the Theory of Planned Behavior, which emphasizes the role of attitudes and behavioral control in shaping individual actions. The research method used was a quantitative approach using SmartPLS 4 software. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed online via Google Forms to respondents, namely Generation Z individuals who already have income.
The results showed that financial attitudes did not have a significant direct influence on financial management. Financial literacy and financial self-efficacy had a positive and significant influence on financial management, and financial self-efficacy was proven to be a mediating variable. In the relationship between financial attitudes, this variable acted as a full mediator, while in the relationship between financial literacy and financial self-efficacy, it acted as a partial mediator.
