Abstract

The Al-Walidain Mosque administrators find it difficult to record and manage the mosque's income and expenditures. Therefore, searching for financial data over a specific period of time becomes a complex task because the data is often stored in multiple spreadsheets or separate files. In the era of digitalization and the development of information technology, it is important for the Al-Walidain Mosque administrators to utilize technology to shorten the time spent searching for financial data and reports. In this study, the aim is to build a search system to facilitate the search for financial data keywords based on category and description data using the Sequential Search algorithm. The system will display financial data search results if the entered keywords match the data available in the database. The application was developed using the Laravel PHP Framework and MySQL database and utilized black box testing for testing. With this financial application, which implements the sequential search algorithm, it makes it easier for the mosque treasurer to search for financial data. The financial data search system using keywords based on category and description data has proven effective in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the search process. This is evidenced by the short execution time, which is 0.5165 seconds. Based on the results of twenty runtime tests.
