This study was motivated by the state of religious life among the people of Indonesia, which still reveals a discrepancy between the performance of religious activities and the practice of Islamic teachings in daily life. Certain customs that are not fully in line with Islamic values are still found in society, making ongoing religious guidance necessary. In this context, Muslimat Ta’lim activities serve as a form of non-formal Islamic education that seeks to help the community better understand and apply religious teachings in their daily lives. This study aims to identify the nature of Muslimat Ta’lim activities, the factors that support and hinder their implementation, and their impact on enhancing religious awareness among the community in Menur Hamlet.
This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach involving field research. Data collection was carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research informants comprised the management of the majelis ta’lim, ustadz, congregants, and community leaders directly involved in ta’lim activities. The data obtained were then analysed through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The research findings indicate that the Muslimat Ta’lim activities in Menur Hamlet are carried out regularly through religious study sessions, recitation of Surah Yasin, collective dhikr, and the practice of worship. These activities not only serve as a means of religious education but also strengthen social ties within the community. The continuity of these activities is supported by the role of religious leaders, the enthusiasm of the congregation, and the presentation of material in an easily understandable manner, although there are still obstacles in the form of the community’s busy schedules and differences in religious understanding. The impact of the Ta’lim activities is evident in the increased religious understanding, the practice of worship, and positive changes in community behaviour in line with Islamic teachings.
