The development of social awareness faces obstacles in today’s digital age, compounded by advances in the internet and technology. The decline in good character—both in schools and in the community, such as using harsh and inappropriate language toward others—is evidence of a crisis in social awareness. As a result, apathy and selfishness have become prevalent. Mosques, as centers of non-formal education, serve as a tool to foster a sense of care for others through various programs that benefit the community. This study aims to describe the mosque’s programs for fostering social awareness among the community at Nurul Iman Mosque, assess the outcomes of these programs, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The research approach employs qualitative research methods and field research. The results of the study yielded three findings: 1) Mosque programs aimed at fostering social concern among the community at the Nurul Iman Mosque consist of social initiatives such as zakat al-fitr, the distribution of basic food supplies, “Blessed Friday” events, the distribution of sacrificial meat, and communal iftar meals at the mosque—all of which are instilled through adaptation, modeling, and educational training. 2) The results of the mosque’s programs in fostering social awareness among the community at Nurul Iman Mosque have been very positive, as evidenced by active participation in mosque programs, an increase in the number of people attending mosque activities, and a shift in moral values. 3) Supporting factors in the implementation of the mosque’s program to foster social awareness among the community at Nurul Iman Mosque include attendance at mosque activities, financial support, contributions of energy and ideas, maintaining cleanliness, and sharing information with others. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in the implementation of mosque programs aimed at fostering social awareness among the community at Nurul Iman Mosque include low congregant attendance, a limited budget, and a shortage of human resources.
