ANALISIS DIFUSI INOVASI DALAM PENERAPAN APLIKASI
MONDOK AJA DI PONDOK PESANTREN DARUL FALAH SUKOREJO

Digital transformation has brought significant changes in various sectors of life,
including in the management and communication systems in Islamic boarding
schools. Adaptation to technology is a crucial need to improve service effectiveness,
particularly in the relationship between Islamic boarding schools and guardians.
In this context, this study aims to analyze the process of innovation diffusion in the
implementation of the Mondok Aja application at the Darul Falah Islamic Boarding
School in Sukorejo, Ponorogo. The background of this study is based on the
existence of digital transformation in the Islamic boarding school environment that
demands adaptation to technology, particularly in the administration and
communication systems with guardians. This study uses a qualitative approach with
a descriptive type, with a purposive sampling technique for determining informants
consisting of application managers and guardians as users. Data collection
techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation,
then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results of the study indicate
that the process of innovation diffusion of the Mondok Aja application takes place
through five stages, namely knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and
confirmation. At the knowledge stage, innovation is introduced through
socialization and mentoring, at the persuasion stage, guardians of students begin
to form attitudes despite initial obstacles, at the decision stage, guardians of
students decide to use the application because of the perceived benefits, at the
implementation stage, the application is actively used despite technical obstacles,
and at the confirmation stage, the application is well received and used
continuously. The findings of this study indicate that the success of innovation
diffusion is not only determined by technological superiority, but also by the role
of communication in the process of delivering innovation through socialization,
mentoring, and support services, so that innovation can be accepted by users in the
Islamic boarding school social system.
