Abstract

The aims of this research are 1) To determine the implementation of Arabic learning in improving the ability to read Kitab Kuning at MTs Darul Falah Sukorejo, 2) To determine the results of learning Arabic in improving the ability to read Kitab Kuning at MTs Darul Falah Sukorejo. This research approach is a qualitative approach with the type of field research. Data collection techniques are through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis through data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of this research indicate that learning Arabic at MTs Darul Falah Sukorejo is well implemented, starting from communicative educators and students, the material uses the Al Miftah book, the methods used are rote, lecture and sorogan methods. The implementation of learning Arabic is able to improve the ability to read Kitab Kuning at MTs Darul Falah Sukorejo. Suggestions from researchers are to support and develop and try to maximize the existence of Kitab Kuning reading ability development program in madrasah.
