Abstract

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan materi teorema Pythagoras
yang berfokus pada teori kastolan. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengikuti kebijakan pendidikan dari Kementrian
Pendidikan Republik Indonesia di masa Pademi COVID – 19 yaitu dilaksanakannya pembelajaran secara
daring. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan subjek pada penelitian yaitu
siswa kelas 9 SMP N 4 Sawoo dengan jumlah 5 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes soal teorema
Pythagoras, kemudian dilanjutkan wawancara untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab kesalahan siswa saat
mengerjakan tes. Hasil dari tes dan wawancara kemudian di analisis jenis kesalahan siswa. Analisis berfokus
pada kesalahan menurut teori kasolan yaitu kesalahan konseptual, kesalahan prosedural dan kesalahan teknik.
Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa siswa melakukan kesalahan konsep yaitu salah dalam penerapan rumus
dan kesalahan dalam penulisan tanda bilangan akar pangkat pada rumus. Kesalahan prosedural yaitu jawaban
siswa tidak sesuai dengan langkah – langkah pengerjaan dan tidak sesuainya hasil akhir dengan soal yang
diperintahkan. Kesalahan teknik yaitu siswa melakukan kesalahan dalam penulisan operasi hitung dan
kesalahan dalam memindahkan variable atau konstanta dari langkah ke langkah selanjutnya.

Abstrak
This study aims to describe students' mistakes in working on the Pythagorean theorem a material which focuses
on the Kastolan theory. The implementation of learning follows the education policy of the Ministry of Education
of the Republic of Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the implementation of online learning.
This research method uses descriptive qualitative research . With the subject of the research, namely the 9th
grade students of SMP N 4 Sawoo with a total of 5 students. Collecting data using a test of the Pythagorean
theorem a, then continued with interviews to find out the factors that cause student errors when doing the test.
The results of the tests and interviews were then analyzed for the types of student errors. Analysisfocuses on
errors according to kasolan theory, namely conceptual errors, procedural errors and technical errors. From the
results of the study, it was found that students made conceptual errors, namely wrong in applying the formula
and errors in writing the square root number sign in the formula. Procedural errors are students' answers that
are not in accordance with the work steps and the final result does not match the questions ordered . Technical
errors, namely students make mistakes in writing arithmetic operations and errors in moving variables or
constants from step to step .
