Religion has a very important and strategic position because it is the spiritual, moral and ethical foundation of human life. But in fact, many people are far from practicing religion. Religious Counselors are at the forefront of providing religious enlightenment. As, it has become the duty of the Religious Counselor to provide information and innovation to the community.
A qualitative approach is used in this study. This study aims to study the state of the object where the researcher is the key tool, sampling, data sources that are specifically carried out and using a snowball approach. Data collection methods use triangulation (combination) data analysis.
Based on the results of the study, it was found that (1) The form of counseling carried out by the Islamic Religious Counselor in Balong Sub-district consisted of BTQ and MADIN coaching, Hadrah Shalawaat, Training on Rehearsing the Body, Moral Studies, and Development of Majlis Taklim. (2) The role of the sub-district Islamic instructor can be seen from the implementation of the functions of the Islamic Religious Counselor as follows: Informative, Communicative, Educational, and Advocative Functions (3) a. The supporting factor is the active role of Islamic Religious Counselors who are supported by Modin Desa who are also actively involved in Islamic education for the people of Balong District. b. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor for the extension of Islamic religion to the people of Balong District is the participants who are less willing to participate in the counseling because of their daily activities such as harvesting and planting seasons. There are also areas that are reluctant to hold counseling on an ongoing basis because there are already regular meeting activities, namely yasinan. Meanwhile, natural factors, namely heavy rain at the time of the meeting, often hindered and the Covid-19 outbreak that hit the world also hampered Islamic education in Balong District.The activities carried out by the Islamic Religion instructor in Balong District were carried out in groups so as to produce 5 types of counseling. The implementation of the role of the Islamic religious instructor is carried out in accordance with the duties and functions of the Islamic religious instructor. and supporting factors consist of religious instructors and village modin. while the inhibiting factors of the participants and bad weather
