NURSING CARE FOR THE ELDERLY DISORDERS OF ACTIVITY FULFILLMENT WITH NURSING PROBLEMS
WALKING OBSTACLES

In the elderly period, every elderly will experience changes in the body's physiological functions, including musculoskeletal disorders in the form of decreased muscle elasticity, decreased muscle flexibility, weakened muscle strength and muscle contractions that cause problems such as obstacles when walking and slow movement speed or reaction. The purpose of this case study is to find out nursing care for the elderly who have walking difficulties with a nursing process approach.
The method used is the nursing process. Nursing care for the elderly with nursing problems with walking barriers at UPT PSTW Magetan for 4 days of activity in November 2021.
The results after nursing care for 4 days showed that the client experienced an increase in the ability to walk without using a walker, and an increase in the ability to maintain a sitting balance without support.
Nursing care carried out by researchers by providing education on balance exercises for the elderly, it is hoped that clients can be motivated to do exercises regularly and painstakingly with the need for assistance from the orphanage so that the problem of walking barriers can be overcome.
