This study aims to evaluate the applicability of the Equal Coffee Malang online journalism content with respect to the online journalism characteristics based on Mike Ward theory. The qualitative method and qualitative descriptive approach were used to perform this investigation. Purposive sampling was used in the sampling process, along with an interview with the owner of Equal Coffee Malang and the collection of various news items from internet news sources. The outcome demonstrates that Kabar Rantau's news articles regarding Equal Coffee Malang in general have complied with the standards of online journalism as outlined by Mike Ward's theory. However, there are other elements that should have been included in the article, such a comment section to foster further author involvement. Further it is also advised to add video so that article could deliver better description about objects that they review.
