RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAMILY HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE ELDERLY
AT POSYANDU ELDERLY BOUGENVIL III, MATEGAL VILLAGE, PARANG DISTRICT, MAGETAN REGENCY

Every elderly will definitely experience the aging process which results in a decrease in self-ability. Families are needed in this case, a deeper family understanding of family health will improve the quality of life in the elderly. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family health and the quality of life of the elderly at the Elderly Posyandu Bougenvil III, Mategal Village, Parang District, Magetan Regency.
This study uses a quantitative research design with a correlation study. The research design that will be carried out uses a cross sectional approach. The number of samples is 40 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a family health questionnaire (APPGAR Family) and a quality of life questionnaire (WHOQoL-BREF). Data analysis used Chi-Square test with P value < 0.05.
Results Based on the analysis in this study, it was found that p value = 0.002, where p value < α (0.05) which means there is a relationship between family health and quality of life in the elderly at the Bougenvil III Elderly Posyandu, Mategal Village, Parang District, Magetan Regency.
This research can be used by families to pay more attention to the health of their families, especially the elderly, so that they can improve the health status that affects the quality of life in the elderly.
