Abstract
Post partum mothers and babies can experience health problems such as lack of knowledge about breastfeeding, swollen breasts, breast milk does not come out, fatigue, inadequate baby sucking, and so on. This can cause the baby's attachment to the mother to be less effective and result in ineffective breastfeeding problems. Ineffective breastfeeding is a condition in which the mother and baby experience discoveries and difficulties in the breastfeeding process. The purpose of taking this case study is to find out whether breastfeeding is developing or not. Nursing care for post partum patients with nursing problems in breastfeeding is not effective in the Melati room at RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo on 11-15 June 2022 which was carried out for 3 days of treatment. The research method used is a nursing care approach which includes assessment, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of nursing. The results of the study found that Mrs. P with post Sectio Caesarea (SC) on day 2 was weak, breast milk had not come out, and breasts felt soft. Based on this analysis, interventions were carried out, namely education about breastfeeding knowledge, nutrition observation, and oxytocin massage. The evaluation results obtained from nursing care to Ny. P include increased supply of adequate breast milk, decreased maternal fatigue, increased attachment of the baby to the mother's breast, and increased flow of milk. With this the patient is able to reduce and prevent the occurrence of ineffective breastfeeding problems. Post partum patients with ineffective breastfeeding problems need good therapeutic communication. In carrying out nursing care, the role of nurses is needed to carry out intensive nursing actions to clients. In addition, the role and support of the family is also very important in the healing process of the client. Keywords: Nursing Care, Ineffective Breastfeeding, Post Partum
