Abstract

Hendirawati. Lina, 2014. Increase Motivation Using Mind Mapping Methods Subjects PKN In Eighth Grade Students of SMP 1 Bungkal Year 2013/2014. Thesis Citizenship Education Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Advisor I : Drs. Mahmud Isro’i, M.Pd Advisor II : Yogi Prasetyo, S.Pd,SH,MH Keywords : Method of Mind Mapping and Learning Motivation Education is a very important requirement for every individual, as can be seen through a quality education. The results of preliminary observations made in class VIII G SMP N1 Bungkal Year 2013/2014 in the process of learning that takes place is still using the lecture method and students still look passive in following lessons. Based on the statement need different learning models applied to make the classroom more conducive situation in the learning process, namely by using Mind Mapping. This study is an action research undertaken collaboratively with subject teachers PKN Drs.Seni. Subject of this study, there are 23 students who are in class VIII G SMP N1 Bungkal. This research was conducted for 2 cycles each cycle 1 meeting held with the time spent in each cycle 2 X 40 minutes. In this learning process researchers use Mind Mapping method where students will practice making Mind Map to make it easier to understand the lesson PKN. Based on the observations and the value of student learning activities to increase students' motivation it can be seen from the results of the process value sklus I Study abroad with an average of 72.13, while the second cycle of the average values obtained 86.30. And the motivation to learn the value of values obtained in the first cycle with an average value of 72.77, while for the second cycle of the average values obtained 85.43 this means learning to use Mind Mapping method can increase students' motivation class VIII G SMP N 1 Bungkal .
