Abstract

Auditory hallucinations are one of the symptoms experienced by schizophrenia as a positive symptom, clients will hear voices or sentences that are not real and result in biological, social, mental problems and acts of violence against themselves, others and the environment. The purpose of this scientific paper is to provide nursing care to schizophrenic clients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations which include assessment, data analysis, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of nursing. This nursing care was carried out from 02 January to 06 January 2023 in the Larasati Room of RSJD Dr. Arif Zainudin Surakarta for 5 days with the nursing process approach method. The results of the study show that the client hears continuous whispers that invite him to chat or have a conversation at any time, especially at night when the client is writing a diary, from this condition he experiences sensory perception disturbances: auditory hallucinations. Implementation is given by providing an implementation strategy, consisting of the first implementation strategy, namely recognizing and rebuking hallucinations, the second implementation strategy, namely taking medication regularly, the third implementation strategy, namely conversing with other people, the fourth implementation strategy, namely scheduled activities. The results of the final evaluation: the client is able to repeat the first to fourth implementation strategy smoothly, can explain the content, frequency, timing, response, actions in controlling hallucinations. Nursing care of clients with auditory hallucinations requires the nurse's role in support and motivation to control hallucinations with implementation strategies; this can help in the client's recovery.
