Abstract

RISA DWI CAHYANI: Guided Inquiry Learning with Geogebra Media to Improve Students' Concept Understanding of MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Yanggong Ponorogo. Thesis. Ponorogo: Mathematics Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo, 2023 This study aims to describe guided inquiry learning using Geogebra media which can increase students' understanding of concepts at MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Yanggong Ponorogo. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings and 1 test. This research was conducted at MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Yanggong Ponorogo. The subjects of this research were 20 students of class IX. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation and test data. The results of this study indicate that the steps of inquiry learning are formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting data with the help of geogebra media, testing hypotheses and formulating conclusions can improve students' understanding of the concepts of class IX MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Yanggong by improving and emphasizing the steps to test the hypothesis by adding practice questions individual. Improved understanding of the concept seen in the second cycle. This increase was shown from the teacher's learning implementation score which obtained a score of 92.5% in cycle one then increased to 100% in cycle two. Improved understanding of concepts can also be seen from student learning scores, namely in cycle one, a score of 85.5% was increased to 100% in cycle two. In addition, the results of student tests in cycle one showed that 16 students scored below the minimum limit of the success indicator, then in the second cycle it increased, namely from 20 students all of them got test scores above the minimum limit of the success indicator. The increase in learning implementation scores and student test scores showed that this study had achieved the specified success indicators so that guided inquiry learning with geogebra media could improve students' conceptual understanding of class IX MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Yanggong Ponorogo.
