Abstract
Deska. 2023 The Effect of Extracurricular Muhadharah on Increasing the Confidence Character of Class VII Students of MTs Wali Songo Putri Ngabar Ponorogo. Thesis of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University, Ponorogo. Advisor (I) Dr. Nuraini, M.Pd. I (II) Azid Syukroni, M.Pd. I Keywords: Extracurricular Muhadharah, Self-Confidence Speech activity is an academic pursuit that students undertake outside of the classroom scheduled class times as an extension of the curriculum. These activities are carried out to develop students' personalities, talents, interests, and skills, which is the goal of the school administration. This activity is routinely carried out once every week on Thursday and Friday nights. This is one way to practice speaking in front of many people and become skilled at speaking in front of crowds by using expressions in language and creative expressions that can attract public interest. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Speech extracurricular on increasing the self-confidence of Class VII female students at the Islamic Boarding School Wali Songo Ngabar Ponorogo. This research method uses a quantitative approach to research using statistical formulas. The subjects in this study were students of MTs Wali Songo Putri Ngabar Ponorogo, totalling 79 students. The method used is a questionnaire and documentation. The analytical method uses regression analysis with the help of IBM SPSS V25 for Windows. The research results that have been carried out with all kinds of data collection techniques through data analysis are analyzing simple linear regression, which gets a score of 9,670 and exceeds the minimum result, namely t-table 2,000, with a significant value of 0.00. In contrast, the coefficient of determination (R-Square) value is 0.548 or 54.8 %. Thus, Ha is accepted, and H0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant effect of extracurricular Speech on increasing the self-confidence of class VII Female Students at Islamic Boarding School Ngabar Ponorogo.
