Abstract
Frivinda Lusyta Maharani. Analysis of Speech Delay Disorders in Children at Kindergarten Merak Ponorogo. Thesis. for S1 PG-PAUD FKIP Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo Program. Advisor 1. Ida Yeni Rahmawati, M.Pd. Supervisor 2 Nurtina Irsad Rusdiani, M.Pd This study aims to: (1) describe and explain the symptoms experienced by children with speech delays (speech delay), (2) describe and explain what are the causes of speech delays in children, and (3) describe and explain how to handle speech delays in children at Kindergarten Merak Ponorogo. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students from the Matahari Group, which consisted of 3 children, teachers, principals and parents. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The results showed that 1) Symptoms experienced by children with speech delays were no words appearing, unclear pronunciation, frequent use of sign language, no response, and no focus when spoken to. 2) The causes experienced include the lack of inviting children to talk, the existence of disorders such as ASD and ADHD, and patterns of watching gadgets that cause children to become passive. 3) Handling methods that are carried out are sharing between teachers and parents, carrying out stimuli by frequently inviting them to communicate, and doing therapy with experts.
