Abstract

Advisor (I) Dr. Afiful Ikhwan, M.Pd.I, and Advisor (II) Dr.Aldo Redo Syam, M.Pd.I Keywords: kiai leadership, role of kiai, entrepreneurship The purpose of this research was to find out the strategy of Islamic boarding school kiai in instilling an entrepreneurial spirit at Darut Tilawah Muneng Balong Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School. To find out the strategy used and to find out the results obtained from the efforts that have been made, this research was conducted to find out how the kiai salam strategy instills an entrepreneurial spirit for students at Darut Tilawah Muneng Balong Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School. Researchers remember that Islamic boarding schools, especially in Indonesia, have a very large role in educating the children of this nation, therefore Islamic boarding schools are expected to adapt in responding to current technological advances. This research was conducted at the Darut Tilawah Muneng Balong Islamic Boarding School. Ponorogo was named the Darut Tilawah Islamic Boarding School, which is one of the Islamic boarding schools that has provided its students with expertise in the field of entrepreneurship. This study uses a qualitative research method, namely by collecting data and information in the form of documentation of activities carried out at the Darut Tilawah Islamic Boarding School covering the problems that will be examined. Methods of data collection using interviews, documentation and observation, in testing the validity of the data researchers used techniques of source triangulation, technical triangulation and time triangulation. The results of the study show that (1) The kiai's strategy in instilling an entrepreneurial spirit for students at the Darut Tilawah Muneng Balong Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School uses several strategies, namely: Observation, Theory, Practice, Motivation and exemplary. (2) The implications that arise after the kiai's role in instilling an entrepreneurial spirit for students at the Darut Tilawah Muneng Balong Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School are as follows: students become independent, students become enthusiastic in learning, the breadth of knowledge of students and students become more confident in entrepreneurship. (3) supporting and inhibiting factors in instilling an entrepreneurial spirit for students at the Darut Tilawah Islamic Boarding School, Muneng Balong Ponorogo, namely: the different interests and talents of students in entrepreneurship and resulting in inadequate facilities provided by the Darut Tilawah Islamic Boarding School.
