Abstract

ANALYSIS OF PONOROGO THEATRE CARNIVAL 2022 EVENT MANAGEMENT WIDHI PANGASTUTI 19240760 This research aims to analyze the management of the Ponorogo Theatre Carnival event, which is significant in providing valuable insights to the organizers regarding event management and improvement of event quality, as well as offering guidelines for the development of future art events. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method involving the analysis of primary and secondary data collected through direct observation and interviews with relevant parties deemed competent to address the issues. Purposive sampling was employed, involving the event organizers, participants, and attendees. The study utilized Goldblatt's Event Management theory, which consists of research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the Ponorogo Theatre Carnival event management. The research highlighted how the Ponorogo Theatre Carnival team planned and executed the event. The event received active participation from theater communities in Ponorogo and support from the lokal government. The research adequately addressed the research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation stages, but there are still some aspects that could be enhanced and need further evaluation.
