Abstract

After the death of their partners, widows frequently confront economic and social hardships. Finding employment or making ends meet financially for themselves and their family may be challenging for them. To help widows enhance their well-being, it is crucial to develop effective self-reliance education programs. A widow has to have rules for living their life in tough times, one of which is governed by the principles of Islamic religious teachings. It is awful if a widow who previously relied on her spouse has a bad life as a result of being abandoned. Islam promotes female empowerment and offers clear moral and ethical principles. As a result, Islamic-based self-reliance education initiatives at the Association of Working Widows can offer a useful framework for enhancing widows' capacity to achieve economic, social, and spiritual independence. One of the organizations that helps widows gain more independence is PKBM Mutiara Bina Insani. One of the PKBM initiatives designed exclusively for widow empowerment is called HIJAB (Association of Working Widows). Through this program, widows are nurtured, collected, and assisted in living life as a mother head of the home. HIJAB participants will undoubtedly be pleased with the outcomes of the empowerment method employed by PKBM to help widows become more independent. This method upholds Islamic principles in all of its activities to prevent widows from leading improper lives or departing from Islamic law. There are enabling variables that might aid in the beginning of initiatives for widow empowerment. Of course, there will also be an impeding element in an activity plan; nevertheless, this may be utilized as a benchmark and assessment for PKBM in carrying out activities and serve as a stepping stone to future success for the HIJAB (Working Widows Association).
