Abstract
ABSTRACT Oki Aprilia Restiani. Improving the Kinesthetic Intelligence of Mentally Disabled Children through Movement and Song Methods in TK Inklusi PAS Baitul Qur'an Ngabar Siman. Thesis. Teacher Education Study Program for Early Childhood Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Advisor 1 Hadi Cahyono, M.Pd., Advisor 2 Muhammad 'Azzam Muttaqin, M.Pd. This study aims to determine: (1) To analyze the increase in the kinesthetic intelligence of mentally retarded children through the method of motion demonstrations and songs in TK Inklusi PAS Baitul Qur'an Ngabar, (2) To identify the results of increasing the kinesthetic intelligence of mentally retarded children through the method of motion demonstrations and songs in TK Inklusi PAS Baitul Qur'an Ngabar. This research is a classroom action research which consists of two cycles where each cycle is carried out in 2 meetings. Research procedures include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were mentally retarded children in the group class of TK Inklusi PAS Baitul Qur'an Ngabar, many as 15 children. The results showed that each meeting in cycle I and cycle II experienced an increase. In the observation results of the first cycle of students with underdeveloped criteria (BB) 3 children, 4 children starting to develop criteria (MB), 6 children developing according to expectations (BSH) and 2 children developing very well category (BSB), with the percentage obtained by successful children was 53.33% and 46.66% for children who were not successful. In the results of the second cycle of observation with the criteria for starting to develop (MB) as many as 2 children and the very well developed category (BSB) as many as 13 children. With the percentage obtained by successful children of 86.66% and children who have not been successful at 13.33%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that Kinesthetic Intelligence in mentally retarded children in the PAS Inklusi Baitul Qur'an Ngabar Inclusion Kindergarten has increased.
