Abstract
Sectio caesarea is surgery to deliver a fetus through an incision in the uterine wall. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the average caesarean section delivery rate is 5% -15% per 1000 births in the world. This is due to the increasing demand for delivery by caesarean section, even without medical indications. For more than 100 years, nutrition has been known as a critical factor in wound healing. The role of nutrition in wound care is the key to wound healing interventions related to the level of adequacy or deficiency of one nutritional element such as energy, protein, fat or other nutrients. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between nutritional intake behavior and the wound healing process of mothers post caesarean section at the gynecology clinic at RSU Darmayu Ponorogo. The research design uses descriptive correlation. The population is post sectio caesarea mothers at RSU Darmayu Ponorogo. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The number of samples according to the researchers' criteria was 50. Data were collected for nutritional intake behavior using questionnaires and for wound healing using observation sheets and tested using Chi Square. The results of the Chi Square test show that there is a relationship between nutritional intake behavior and post-caesarean maternal wound healing, where the Asymptotic Significance value (2 sided) is 0.049 < α, so H1 is accepted, which means there is a relationship between nutritional intake and post-cesarean maternal wound healing at the RSU Gynecology Polyclinic. Darmayu Ponorogo. One way that can be done as a step to support wound healing after caesarean section surgery is by increasing consumption of nutrients that are high in protein, especially animal protein and good wound care.
