Abstract

Siswati. 2024. Procedure for Assignment of Duties to the Ponorogo Regency DPRD Secretariat. HKI, Department of Government Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo, Supervisor Yusuf Adam Hilman, S.IP, M.Si and Examiner Lecturer I Drs. Bambang Triono, M.Si and Examining Lecturer II Irvan Ridho, S. AP., M.Si The distribution of tasks within an organization is a crucial factor for achieving the organization's vision and mission. Unequal task allocation among employees can hinder the completion of tasks efficiently and on time. The author conducted research using a descriptive-qualitative method, involving observation and interviews with employees at the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Ponorogo Regency, especially non-civil servant (ASN) employees. The study revealed that task delegation was often skewed towards non-ASN employees, assigning them responsibilities for both the core tasks and functions of ASN. As a result, non-ASN employees frequently find themselves handling two jobs simultaneously. Therefore, it is proposed that task distribution procedures at the Secretariat of DPRD Ponorogo be formulated to ensure each unit or department has its own responsibilities in line with its functions. A well-organized task distribution will facilitate workflow, enhance productivity, and prevent overlapping responsibilities among employees. Keywords: Task distribution, Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Ponorogo Regency, Task distribution process.
