Abstract

The Bangsalan Village Government has routine activities that involve the community, namely paying for street lights which is done once a month. This has been done since 2018 by establishing a person responsible for paying for street lights. The payment for street lights made by the community once a month is not included in the Bangsalan Village RPJMDes and has its own responsibility, namely the RT Head who will report to the BPD and Village Head. The aim of this research is to determine the role of the Village Government in paying for street lights to increase the trust of the people of Bangsalan Village. This research uses the concept of thought patterns which can be influenced by several factors including culture, psychological distance and mood. Meanwhile, to improve service quality, it must have 5 elements, namely, responsiveness, assurance and certainty, tangibility, empathy and reliability. The method used in this research is qualitative, namely by matching the findings in the field with the results of interviews which will be explained through descriptions by the researcher. The results of this research are the role of the Village Government in paying for street lights, namely by carrying out regular reporting on income and output in a transparent manner or nothing is covered up so that the Village Government's responsibility can be trusted by the community. Apart from that, there are factors that influence people's trust, namely rational factors that arise because of a person's skill in giving trust to other people and relational factors, namely morals and ethics to create impulses that are accepted by other people.
