Abstract
Adolescence is identical with stress pressure marked by the emergence of conflict, social relationship problems, and mood swings. Adolescents who do not get social support cause adolescents to become stressed to the point of self-harm behavior. Sources of social support other than parents are peers, based on this background the purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between peer social support and self-harm behavior in adolescents. This study uses a quantitative method, the sample used was 65 respondents. Sampling using probability techniques, namely proportional random sampling and analyzed using the Spearman correlation test with a significance of 0.05 data collection was carried out by providing questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that 65 respondents have low peer social support with a total of 73.8% and moderate self-harm behavior with a total of 60.0%. The results of the study showed that the coefficient value was -0.497 and p value 0.000, which means that there is a moderate negative relationship between peer social support and self-harm behavior in adolescents.
